Welcome to Southside Elementary School! Our school's mission statement is "We are striving for excellence today to prepare students to succeed in a challenging world tomorrow." It is our goal for every child to be successful at Southside. The administration, faculty and staff are excited about the 2011-2012 school year! We all agree, this will be the best ever! Everyone is willing to work hard to make sure that it is. Parents, we need your help also to help ensure that your child develops to his/her fullest potential. It will take all of us working together to make sure that happens. Our expectations are high and we will not settle for anything less for your child. We believe that every child can learn! We ask for your assistance in this endeavor as it will take all of us working together.

Parents, Study Buddy devices are available from our Media Center to check out for home use. Parents, the Study Buddy is a handheld computer that resembles a video game. Your students will be able to practice academic skills in a fun new way. There are games to support Language Arts, Math, Science, and CRCT practice. Our students use these devices as a supplement to their classroom instruction and as test preparation. Ready. Set. Learn!
