Congratulations to Mrs Miller-Loftin's class for having all ten of the top ten Accelerated Reader point earners in her class. They set and exceeded all of their goals for the first 9 weeks.
The next nine weeks will be more of a challenge, the other grade levels are excitedly competing to win the top scores.

Welcome to Southside Elementary School! Our school's mission statement is "We are striving for excellence today to prepare students to succeed in a challenging world tomorrow." It is our goal for every child to be successful at Southside. The administration, faculty and staff are excited about the 2009-2010 school year! We all agree, this will be the best ever! Everyone is willing to work hard to make sure that it is. Parents, we need your help also to help ensure that your child develops to his/her fullest potential. It will take all of us working together to make sure that happens. Our expectations are high and we will not settle for anything less for your child. We believe that every child can learn! We ask for your assistance in this endeavor as it will take all of us working together.
