 Open House is Tuesday, August 25
Southside is proud to host an Open House Tuesday, August 25, starting at 6 p.m. Parents, this is your chance to meet with your child's teacher and hear all the latest news on school policies and teacher expectations. If you have any questions, now is the time to ask them! It's also a GREAT time to join the PTA for only $4. We are excited to see every parent here on Tuesday night!

Student picture day will be October 13, and information for parents will be going home with students soon. Lifetouch will be here to take the pictures. Kids, come to school wearing your best smile on this day!

 Welcome to the Principal's Corner!
I am simply honored to play such an important role in the lives of the children at Southside Elementary. The faculty and I are committed to providing a quality learning experience in a safe and friendly school environment.
In an effort to communicate our expectation this year, the media specialist has helped us develop a unique website. You will find this website helpful in communicating a common understanding with home - school - and the community. Please fee free in browsing for updates about our school.
At Southside we believe that "teamwork" is an important factor in student success. We value every child and would like to invite you to be a part of "our team." You may do so by becoming an active partcipant in our PTA or volunteering your services to the school in any way your schedule permits. You may contact our PTA President, Mrs. Caldwell, for further details.
Let me assure you that the 2008-2009 school year will be a GREAT year for everyone at Southside Elementary. We are here to work together for the benefit of our children. Everyone counts!
